Senior year can be exhausting. Many times you may feel as if you are leading a double life; in your first life you are a high school student fulfilling all the requirements and classes of your senior year. And in your second life you are preparing for college. Finding the right college, filling out applications, completing the FAFSA, waiting for and responding to acceptance letters. No doubt about it, it is a very busy year.

It’s FAFSA time again!

FAFSA is an acronym for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Part of the U.S Department of Education, Federal Student Aid is the largest provider of student aid in the nation. Federal Student Aid provides more than $150 billion in federal grants, loans, and work study funds to more than 13 million students. The new application is released in January of every year and can be found at https://fafsa.ed.gov/, the official government website.
