MCEC® and ZERO TO THREE® form partnership to help military children

The Military Child Education Coalition™ has joined with ZERO TO THREE® to extend support to our youngest military children.  As part of ZERO TO THREE's® Coming Together Around Military Families (CTAMF) Initiative, MCEC® has provided its "Tell Me A Story For Young Children"™ program and a three-hour Living in the New Normal™ module at 12 military installations heavily impacted by deployment. Together, ZERO TO THREE® and MCEC® have developed a partnership that provides a web of support for infants through pre-school age children and their parents. Click on the ZERO TO THREE®, www.zerotothree.org/military, to see details on all of their military programs.

MCEC® Resource

Military families stationed around the world today face high rates of deployment and transition. Deployment is a difficult time for everyone involved – from the adults being deployed and the children they leave behind, to the community of family and friends who must step into new roles. But with the right approach and a plan in place, families and schools can provide the stable, warm environment children need to succeed. The MCEC™ offers resources for military families and educators to ensure military children around the world receive the support and tools they need to succeed.
