America Reads Just for Kids

Join Spiderman in reading activities or go to on-line book reviews. There are activities for kids and Read*Write*Now! There are posters and activities as well. Parents will want to check out the resources in the "Parent" section.
Book Adventure
Book Adventure is a motivational reading program for children in grades K-8 provided by the Sylvan Learning Foundation, a non-profit organization. Children can create their own book lists from over 5,400 recommended titles, take multiple choice quizzes on the books they've read offline, or earn points/prizes. Visit either the "Kids Zone" or "Parents Place."
Childrens' Television Workshop - Sesame Street
Locate things to do with your younger learner. Review the "Parents" pages to find stories, games, and music.
PBS
Click on the "Explore a Subject" text box and go to one of ten categories from "Games and Diversions", to "Arts and Culture", or "Nature and Wildlife". It is updated daily (with hourly newscast information) with current links to PBS previews.
PBS Kids
Link to activities correlated to program broadcasts or go to fun and games. Parents have their own link in the For Grownups section. It contains many things to do! Make sure to preview prior to viewing it with your child to enhance experiences together.
Reading Planet

Visit the book place. Find out the top five books. Parents can visit the Literacy Lounge and read articles and tips to motivate your child to read.
Scholastic Kids

Select from one of the kid's books/series on the left, including Harry Potter, Goosebumps, and Clifford the Big Red Dog to reach various activities or go to "Book Central, The Card Factory", etc.
