Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC) Expands Services in the National Capital Region (NCR)

Washington DC, – Military Child Education Coalition (MCEC), a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, opens local office at 1 Massachusetts Avenue NW, Suite 880, Washington DC, 20001.  The Enlisted Association of the National Guard of the United States (EANGUS) and the National Guard Association of the United States (NGAUS) has graciously provided office space for the MCEC staff members based in the National Capital Region (NCR).  “This location will help expand our footprint in the NCR, which will directly support military-connected children.  We could not be more appreciative to EANGUS and NAGUS for their support and generosity,” said, Dalena Kanouse, Senior Director, NCR, for MCEC.

The MCEC focuses exclusively on the well-being and needs of America’s approximately four million military-connected children affected by mobility, family separation, and transition.  The goal of the MCEC team is to ensure that every military-connected child grows and thrives through good and challenging times in order to be college, workforce, and ultimately, life-ready.

The MCEC is in its 20th year of serving military-connected children and July 23-25, they will hold their 20th Annual National Training Seminar, Military and Veteran-Connected Children: Strong Roots, Sustainable Future, which will take place at the Renaissance Washington DC Downtown Hotel. This event provides a unique opportunity to hear from senior military, education, and thought leaders while obtaining in-depth coverage of current information relevant to military-connected children.
