MCEC in the News
The Christian Science Monitor featured MCEC's National Guard and Reserve training in an article about organizations that aid military families. The December 7, 2006, article was a follow-up to MCEC's Supporting the Children and Families of the National Guard and Reserve Institute, where MCEC trainers taught Massachusetts educators how to help children whose loved ones have become "suddenly military."

April Designated Month of the Military Child
April has been designated the Month of the Military Child. Join MCEC in recognizing our young heroes, who serve with the same resilience as their parents. Military children have received special acknowledgement each April since 1986, when Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger asked the country to recognize their important role in our armed forces. In honor of the Month of the Military Child, MCEC will distribute posters to schools across the country.
