Living in the New Normal (LINN)
Professional DevelopmentThe MCEC Living In the New Normal (LINN) Institute encourages families to ensure their children have tools to bounce back from life’s storms and “stressors”, fosters community support efforts, and provides concerned adults with information to help support children during times of uncertainty, trauma, and loss. The MCEC LINN efforts are predicated on the belief that children’s inherent attributes of courage and resiliency can be strengthened through deliberate encouragement.

Living in the New Normal (LINN) - Practicum

Living in the New Normal Public Engagement (LINN PE)
School and Community ProgramsThe MCEC Living in the New Normal Public Engagement is a day-long session that invites state and community leaders to collaborate in identifying their capabilities, synchronizing their resources, and planning homefront responses to support children during times of uncertainty due to deployments, transitions, and other challenges.

Transition Counselors Institute (TCI-2) Phase Two
The MCEC Transition Counselor Institute (TCI) Phase Two is the second interactive professional development institute and focuses on the social and emotional implications as they relate to the transitioning student. Deployment and separation, building confidence and resiliency, and supporting children through trauma and loss are some of the modules addressed in TCI Phase Two.

Health Professionals Institute
School and Community ProgramsThe MCEC Health Professionals Institute deepens the capacity of existing professionals to better serve military-connected children and youth. This model incorporates a systematic approach to supporting children while providing tools for a community of health professionals to execute lasting and positive impact on their communities.
