When Duty Calls: PBS’s ARTHUR Tackles Military Family Relocation

Join ARTHUR Associate Producer Deb Frank and Major Chevy Cook for a special advanced screening of the brand new ARTHUR episode, “When Duty Calls”! Ladonna, one of Arthur’s friends, finds out she is moving again because her dad – who is in the Army Corps of Engineers – has gotten a new assignment in Oregon. Discussion after the screening will include ARTHUR’s history of military child representation, the creation of this episode, and the importance of visibility for military kids in media.

The Military Child Transition Cycle- the Student Perspective
