Employer Matching Gift Program

Employer Matching Gift Programs encourage employees to maximize the impact of their gift by taking advantage of matching gift opportunities. Your gift in support of America’s military children is strengthened through your company’s program.

If your employer matches employee donations, simply complete your company’s form and mail it along with your donation to:

Military Child Education Coalition
909 Mountain Lion Circle
Harker Heights, TX 76548

From there, we’ll complete our portion and return it to your employer. It’s so easy and so impactful.

If you need assistance, or would like to connect MCEC to your employer’s foundation or community relations department, contact Lee Ann Deal by email or by calling 254.953.1923 ext. 1122.

IRA Charitable Rollovers

If you’re 70 ½ or older and own an IRA, the Individual Retirement Account (IRA) Charitable Rollover is a wonderful donation option for charitable contributions. You can choose to transfer up to $100,000 per year from your pretax traditional or Roth IRA to MCEC without having to consider that distribution as taxable income. In order for a donation to qualify under the law, you must instruct your financial advisor, bank, or IRA administrator to transfer funds from your traditional or Roth IRAs directly to MCEC and identify you as the IRA account owner/donor, with your name and address on the distribution check or accompanying materials and send it to:

Military Child Education Coalition
909 Mountain Lion Circle
Harker Heights, TX 76548
254.953.1923 Fax 254.953.1925
Tax ID #74-2889416

Distributions from your traditional or Roth IRA made directly to MCEC can satisfy all or part of this year’s required minimum distribution. Call us at 254.953.1923 ext. 1122 or email us at donate@militarychild.org with any questions.

Gifts of Stock
Your donation of appreciated stock brings appreciable value to military children!

The benefit is twofold:

Charitable Deduction
A gift of appreciated stock to MCEC is entitled to an income tax charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift.

Capital Gains Taxes
A gift of appreciated stock to MCEC might be exempt from capital gains taxes and provide better tax benefits than a cash contribution.
