Amanda Woodyard is passionate about helping military families manage the challenges and rewards of their demanding lifestyle.  She has worked in family services and education for the last 24 years and has taken the positon of Vice President of Education Services after being the Director, Community, Engagement and Outreach, National Capital Region for the Military Child Education Coalition.  She welcomes the opportunity to continue working with (MCEC), providing multiple supports and resources to help military families thrive as they experience multiple transitions. Previously, as a Military Student Transition Consultant (MSTC), Amanda managed the Prince William County Public School DoDEA grant that offers specialized K-5 programs, highlighting easing transitions for military-connected students and social and emotional learning.  Amanda was also a Work and Family Life Consultant at Bolling AFB and the Washington Navy Yard, providing training in Suicide Prevention, Anger Management, and the Exceptional Family Member Program. She also provides wrap around services and resources for military families transitioning into or out of the metro Washington, DC area. In addition, she started a S2S program at Hayfield Secondary school in Northern Virginia.

Amanda has enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, Air Force (ret) and two daughters.  She has earned a M.S in Family and Human Development.
